MissesGOLD is an ensemble of women whose exceptional performance mixes modern music on classical instruments.

 

Singer Susanne Gmelch captivates the audience with her multifaceted voice, accompanied by cool and soulful string sounds, virtuoso piano playing and / or more.

 

The Berlin based musicians reimagine famous hits from pop, swing, soul and jazz in an unique and extraordinary way. 

Throughout their performance, MissesGOLD exhibits their mastery of different styles. In Edith Piaf’s La Vie En Rose they show their prowess as chamber musicians. From their groovy rendition of The Beatles’ hit Come Together, to entering jazzy playgrounds with Summertime or Dream a little dream of me, to a full orchestral sound in Adele’s masterpiece Skyfall, they use uncommon techniques to fit their varied program.

 

The strings and piano depart from their typical roles as classical instruments, to accompany Susanne Gmelch`s soaring and unforgettable voice. The audience is submerged into a world of well-known music, reinvented and performed as never before.

The ensemble is a network of outstanding professional musicians of the Berlin music scene. Together with Susanne, they perform as MissesGOLD in and outside of Berlin.
